Ida Hatton

January 20, 1927 — August 4, 2021

Ida Mae (Mae) Hatton was born in Spotswood, New Jersey to John and Amelia Wilson on January 20th, 1927.  She passed away at her home on August 4th, 2021.

She was divorced from her first husband, Raymond Henderson Jr., with whom she had three daughters, Bonnie, Lynda, and Donna.  She was predeceased by her parents and her second husband, Ret. MSgt Bobbie F. Hatton, who she met while working at Keesler AFB in Mississippi.  They were stationed at several bases before being assigned to Randolph AFB in 1980.

She lived through the depression; her parents died when she was a child; and she was raised by foster parents, Thomas and Naomi (Tootsie) Burrows. Her past made her a proud, independent woman who never lost faith in her Lord. Many charities benefited from her generosity.

She is survived by her three daughters, one granddaughter, eight grandsons, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.  She leaves them with memories that they will cherish forever.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Universal City United Methodist Church on the 21st of August at 4:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, Mae requested donations to the church.
