Howard Sherrill

December 22, 1928 — May 28, 2008

Howard W. Sherrill Sandy was born December 22,1928. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Sherrill. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Olllie Sherrill, his brothers Leon Sherrill, A.C. Sherrill and Leonard Sherrill, predecease Howard. Howard is survived by his wife Jean Sherrill, his brother Bill Sherrill, sister Carolyn Quillen, and two daughters Donna Thompson and Janet Thompson, his four grandchildren Brad and Hayley Thompson, Jason Barcelona, Ashley and Anthony Ramos, and one great grandchild Ava Ramos. Howard was retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service. Howard served in Vietnam and the Korean Wars. He always lived by the Air Force core values, integrity first, Service before self, and Excellence in everything he did. Howards strength and love for his family persevered him through a tragic accident in 1989, which left him unable to walk; Howard is now walking and running in heaven. Friends and family may attend graveside memorial at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery on Monday June 2, 2008, at 10:15am. Burial will take place at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.
