Howard D. Patton joined the angels on April 20, 2017. He was 80 years old. Howard retired from EG&G, and also served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Eva LaVerne Patton; a special dog Angel; sister Mary Robertson; 4 daughters Annette Ramos (Joe), Nina Baumann (Jerry), Dawn Norris (Buck) and Cheryl Bowers; 8 grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Howard (Tra), Stephanie, Samantha, Sarah, Michelle and Tracey; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Defense League at www.adltexas.org .
