It is with deep sadness and great love that the family of Gloria Ybarra of San Antonio announces her passing on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on December 26, 1942, in Steele, Missouri, Gloria was known for her kind heart, warmth, and the joy she brought to all around her.
Gloria was a devoted wife to Jesse Ybarra, with whom she shared 26 beautiful years of marriage marked by deep love and companionship. Gloria was a loving mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend whose gentle spirit and infectious humor made every moment shared with her a memorable blessing.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Jesse Ybarra; five children, Michael Balderas (Carol), Linda Perez (Pete), Diana Alonzo (Ben), Robert Balderas (Yesenia), and Anthony Balderas (Ana); fifteen beloved grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Martha Morrison; her siblings, Thelma Frakes,
Dorothy White, and James Morrison; and her granddaughter, Bianca Perez.
Though Gloria’s absence will be deeply felt by her family and friends, her love will remain a guiding light to all whose lives she touched. Gloria’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 8500 Cross Mountain Trail San Antonio TX.
An interment will follow at Wetmore Community Cemetery, 15041 Higgins Rd., San Antonio TX.
