Gerard Labbe

Gerard R. Labbe (72) of Schertz, Texas passed away Sunday June, 20, 2021 (Fathers Day). He was born September 8, 1948 in Waterville, Maine to the late Gerard Roland Labbe Sr. and Irene Marie Duguay. In addition to his parents he is proceeded in death with his only son Gerard R Labbe III (Wally) 5/19/2021

Gerard had many nicknames whether Dad, Grandpa, Jay, Jay-Rod, Mr. Jay or even Red, he was a man that everybody loved, regardless of how they knew him. No one ever could forget the loving, kind, fun, outgoing person he was and that we all hold deep in our hearts.

Jay was a carpenter by trade but regardless of the work he did he was a born leader. He became manager or supervisor of every place he worked.. Smart as a whip with the MEMORY of no other! He enjoyed traveling, gambling watching basketball or football while drinking a cold one in his garage(man cave) with friends/family. He loved Saturday outings with his love Shirlet, going garage selling and lunch dates, or drives thru the country side, he enjoyed all of what life had to offer! A live by the moment type of guy.

Jay is survived by his life companion of 32 years, Shirlet Mckinley; 3 daughters, Lourie Wagner(George), Wendy Sheldon (Rocky) and Tracy Garrett (Greg); step children, JoLisa Nixon (Bernie) and Bill Nixon (Becky); 10 grandchildren, Irene, Allie, Randall, Kristi, Heather, Bradley, Jessica, Lundyn, Gregory, Alexxis and Aubrey; 9 great grandchildren, Cameron, Jace, Katie, Dominic, Bailey, Nyiema , Donovan , Amberle , and Harley Rose; 2 brothers, Joe and Fabian Labbe; 2 sisters, Arlene Herrera and Glenna Johnson; as well as many other nieces, nephews, family and friends…

Jays wishes were cremation and a celebration of life that will be planned and carried out, future date to be announced.
