Gerald L. Thurman, age 73 of Schertz, passed away on January 9, 2008. He was born to Hallet & Eileen (Huxtable) Thurman on November 11, 1934 in Santa Monica, California. Gerald retired from the U.S. Air Force & Civil Service with more than 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Jo Vanette Thurman, Schertz; sons, Wayne Thurman & wife, Michelle, Universal City, Keith Thurman, Cibolo, Mark Rogers & wife, Xochitl, Schertz & Robert Thurman, California; daughters, Cindy Meyers, California & Brenda Thurman, California and grandchildren, Kyle & Paul Thurman. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
