Downs, Gerald A. (Jerry), age 82, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Stillwater, MN passed away peacefully on 5-9-2010. Preceded in death by wife Jane on 3-14-2010. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Schickert of White Bear Lake, MN, Patty and Mark Carlson of St. Paul, MN, Jane Rone of Katy, TX, and Maureen and John Vruno of Maplewood, MN; grandchildren Jennifer Moen (Derreck), Robert Schickert, Jacob Schickert, Sarah Carlson, Wesley Rone, Adam Rone, Neil Vruno and Keith Vruno, and 2 great-grandchildren Gavin Moen and Karley Schickert. Also survived by sister Jeanne Luebker of Stillwater, MN and sister-in-law Eva Downs of Two Harbors, MN, as well as other relatives, wonderful neighbors and friends. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials will be used to purchase a paver at the Veterans Memorial in Stillwater MN.
