George Davis, Jr.

George W. Davis Jr., 69, of Selma, Texas went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends. George is survived by his wife of 46 years Mary Davis, two sons, Tony Davis and wife Brook, George Davis and wife Jolind, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. George enlisted in the United States Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the Texas National Guard upon his return. He was a Master plumber for 43 years, becoming a teacher and mentor to many in the field during his career. George was a faithful servant of Christ, serving as a Deacon at Cibolo Valley Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason, and lifetime member of Miles Masonic Lodge #898. George will be remembered for his dedication to helping others succeed, and his passion for caring for his family, friends, and church. Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX, on Monday August 15, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held at Cibolo Valley Baptist Church in Schertz, TX, on Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 9:30am. Graveside services will be held at Bangs Cemetery in Bangs, TX on August 16, 2022 at 4:00pm.
