Always in our hearts, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, one of the kindest, most humble and loving women passed away peacefully to meet her savior, our lord Jesus Christ on July 2, 2026, at age 95.
Genevieve or Anita as she was known, with the only daughter born to David and Genevieve Page along with three brothers, Arthur Page, Mike Page, and Buzzy Page. She was raised in Capital Heights, Maryland. Shortly after High School she married James Smith and started their family in Lanham, Maryland. Anita’s four daughters, and son and spouses are left to cherish her memory are Brenda Leach (Andrew) Merritt Island, Florida, Cindy Anness (John) New Braunfels, Texas, Nancy Dennis, (Kenny) Greensboro, Maryland, and Barry Smith (Debora) Mount Airy, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her daughter Janet Louise Love in 1982. Her grandchildren are John II (Candace), Ryan (Allie), Megan (Torben), Emily, Patrick (Brynne), Pamela (Christian), Danny (Fallon), Jackie (William), Jessica (Brian), Barry, Clint and Crystal. Her great grandchildren include Carter, Jaxon, Maverick, Easton, Charlie Paige, Naomi, Lillian, Amya, Addison, Jaydon, Talia, Emmett, Zoey, Chris, and Rayne Anita.
Anita loved playing bingo, listening to music (Neil Diamond), dancing with the grandchildren, watching NASCAR and her beloved Redskins. She was everyone’s friend and believed Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer was meant to be sung year-round.
We are very grateful to Sundance Inn Health Center Staff in new Braunfels for their care and love of our mother as well as Hope Hospice of New Braunfels who provided compassionate care and love.
We grieve the loss of our mother, but we celebrate her life well lived and cherish the love she has left within us.
