Fred Benavente

March 1, 1940 — August 6, 2021

Fred Allen Benavente was reunited with the love of his life Liz, on the morning of August 6, 2021; at the age of 81.

Freddy or Ben, as he was affectionately called by friends, was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 1, 1940. He was born to Mary Louise Quesenberry Benavente and Fred Benavente. His parents parted ways and a few years later, his mother remarried and Freddy gained a second dad whose name was Earl Hart, Jr., also known as Uncle Jr. A little later, Freddy became a big brother to Norma Hart Kruse.

At the age of 17, Freddy enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly and passionately served our country for 20 years, in Air Defense Command to include the war in Vietnam.

While at a New Year’s Eve party at the NCO Club in Tennessee, he was captivated by a tall and beautiful young lady. The two fell in love and married on August 1, 1959.

Fred and Liz lovingly raised three very active sons, Edward†, Dean† and Tim. He is survived by his sister Norma Hart Kruse and her family, his son Tim, Edward’s† wife Laura and their children: Chrystal, Stephanie, Charles and James; Dean’s† wife Tina, children: Jesse Dean, David, Lily and numerous great grandchildren that held a very special place in his heart.
