Elena D. Cofield, born on February 13, 1949 in Seville, Spain, she passed away on November 18, 2018 at her home in Schertz, TX at the age of 69. Elena is survived by her husband of 50 years Steven C. Cofield, son Ivan J. Cofield, daughters Ruth M Scott and Mellisa L. Lyons, sister Loli; grandchildren Michael Scott, Nathan Canals, and Nolan Canals, nieces; Carmen and Lolina and nephew Monolo. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, November 29, 2018, 10:30am at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
