Eddy Colbert Carr, age 89, of Seguin, Texas passed away at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022.

Eddy was born on Christmas Eve, 1932, near Leetown, West Virginia to Robert and Gertrude “Gladys” Carr. He grew up in Maryland and joined the U. S. Air Force after graduating from Chevy Chase Senior High School in Bethesda, Maryland. While in the Air Force, he met Martha “Peggy” Sullivan in Abilene, Texas and they were soon married, a marriage that lasted until Peggy passed away 6 years ago. He is survived by his 3 children: Eddy Carr, Jr., and wife Terri, Michael D. Carr, and Gladys Catherine Ann Carr.

Eddy was a loving grandfather to 5 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 5 more. He enjoyed collecting and refurbishing old clocks, and taking road trips to visit family and friends across the United States. Eddy was a kind man with a warm heart. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A military service will be held on Friday, August 12th at 2:00 pm at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 F.M. 3009, Schertz, Texas 78154. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until 4:00 pm. He will then be cremated and buried in Zephyrhills Cemetery in Zephyrhills, Florida beside his wife Peggy.
