Douglas Schwirtz

Maria D. Carroll, 68, Schertz, TX and her son Douglas C Schwirtz, 42, Schertz, TX went to be with our Lord this past week. Maria was married to Cleve Carroll, who preceded her in death.  Her passion and love for her family was evident every day of her life.  She was always there to help when needed and befriended many people throughout her life because of her spirit. She enjoyed being a member of CBC church and her time with her small group.  Douglas did face many challenges in life but still overcame them. He brought joy to us all. He played wheelchair sports and even competed on a competitive basketball team. Maria was the mother to 3 children and 5 grandchildren.  Sons David & spouse Stephanie Schwirtz Jr. 49, Eric & spouse Nichoal Schwirtz 45 and grandchildren Kierstin, Ethan, Peyton, Jasmine, and Alex. Please join us as we say our goodbye to these loving people and know they are in a good place. The Celebration of life service will be held Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. At Schertz Funeral Home and Crematory.
