Dora Bendele

Dora Alice Bendele, born January 14, 1942, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. She leaves behind her children, Elmo W. Bendele Jr., Rudolph E. Bendele, William J. Bendele Sr., and Dora Bendele; as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dora was a dedicated wife, mother, and “Nana” who spent many years caring for children in her community. For nearly 15 years, she worked in the nursery at Fairview Evangelical Church, and for almost 25 years she operated an in-home daycare, providing dependable care to the families who entrusted their children to her. She also spent time crocheting and cooking throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmo W. Bendele Sr. May she rest in peace in the presence of the Lord, reunited with her husband and granted eternal rest.

The Funeral Service will begin at 1:30PM, with Visitation to begin at 12:30PM, on Friday, December 05, 2025 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery of San Antonio, Texas.
