Donald Dawley

February 6, 1940 — June 28, 2021

Donald James Dawley, Sr., 81, passed away on June 28, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on February 6, 1940, at home in Madrid, New York, to parents, John & Bernice (Ober) Dawley. Upon graduation from Madrid School, Don joined the United States Marines then the United States Army and retired in 1979. He completed a second career with the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier and retired in 2001.

Don is predeceased by two of his children, Donald, Jr and Susan; parents, John and Bernice Dawley. He is survived by three of his children, Regina of Lillington, North Carolina, Tammy of Cibolo, Texas and Karen (Ruben) of Cibolo, Texas; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, MaryAnn (Paul) Pryce of Potsdam, New York.

A Graveside Service, featuring full Military Honors, will be held at 1:15PM on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – Shelter 2.
