In Loving Memory of Dianna Erna Zimmerman

March 9, 1945 – June 29, 2025

With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Dianna “Di” Erna Zimmerman, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025 at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on March 9, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, Dianna received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Incarnate Word College. She served as a registered nurse for over 40 years. While her degree was in nursing, she is best described as a caregiver whether in an office setting, a hospital, a senior living facility, or as a hospice nurse. She made each patient feel extraordinarily special.

Dianna found joy in spending time with her grandchildren – she made each of them feel as though they were her favorite and created beautiful memories with each of them. She was blessed to have two great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her family was her greatest pride, and her love knew no limits.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Riggs (Randy) and Stephanie Nemec (Kevin); her grandchildren, Rheagan Kozak (Ryan), Kendall Riggs, Ryan Riggs, Drew Nemec, Cole Nemec, and Haley Nemec; and her precious great-grandchildren, Paisley and Logan. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and will continue to honor her legacy through the love and values she instilled.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Friday, July 11, 2025. Family will greet friends from 10:00 AM-10:30 AM. A Rosary will be recited by St. Ann’s Society at 10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow in the parish hall. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in celebration of Dianna’s life, faith, and the many ways she touched the hearts of others.

The family would like to extend a special thanks for the outpouring of love and care to the staff at Good Sheppard Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her honor to St. Ann’s Society at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
