Diane Marie Allison (Woeste), 78, of Schertz, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, after spending her last Mother's Day with the people who loved her most. Diane was born in Dayton, Kentucky to her late parents, Leonard and Hilda Woeste. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Mike Allison, and brother Dave Woeste. She is survived by daughter Lisa Siebert, son-in-law Jeffrey Siebert, grandchildren Ryan and Madison Siebert; and in-laws Debbie Alexander (Jim), JoAnn Allgeier, Steve Allison and Barb Woeste; nieces and nephews Lynette Beach, Mark Allgeier, Jimmy Alexander, Jason Alexander (Kari), Leslie Allison, Lauren Allison, Melissa Perry (Thomas) and Shellie Wise (Michael); great-nieces Frank Allison and Lucy and Roxy Alexander; as well as the many cousins who were like Diane's sisters.
Diane attended Bishop Brossart High School in Alexandria, Kentucky; and worked at Welfare Finance and Parklane Hosiery before becoming a full-time mom to Lisa. They spent their days walking Fluffy the dog, playing and going to the library. Mike, Diane and Lisa were the "Three Musketeers" and often planned excursions to local museums, parks and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Diane and Mike welcomed Jeffrey into the family in 2001, and Diane always called him the "son they never had."
Diane loved gardening, Saturday breakfasts and trips to Waco with Lisa, watching HGTV, decorating for every holiday, chatting with her cousins, collecting birds, and shopping at her favorite store, Shabby Chicas. But most of all she loved her grandchildren. Some of her favorite memories were taking Ryan to the Cincinnati Museum Center and watching him run through the caves; she called the day Madison recently drove her down River Road and through the Hill Country one of the best days of her life.
When people remember Diane, they'll recall her beautiful blue eyes, kind soul and unwavering determination. She always remembered to send a card and check in with those she loved. She battled Crohn's disease, kidney disease, cancer and more with grace and spirit; and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will take place Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, 2217 F.M. 3009, Schertz, Texas 78154 beginning 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. CT. The event will be livestreamed. A celebration of life in Northern Kentucky is also being planned for the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation or Chron's and Colitis Foundation. Memories and condolences may be left for the family below.
