Desmond Oliver

Desmond Jamal Oliver was born on December 18,1993 at Wilford Hall Medical Center. He passed away on November 12, 2021, at the tender age of 27. He was baptized and received his first communion at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Desmond loved cars. He was a skilled mechanic, pursuing his auto mechanic certification at St. Philips College. In addition to his love for cars, Desmond was a huge fan of Japanese anime and had a large collection of figures and books.
Desmond is survived by his mother, Liz; father, Jamal; sister Payton; brothers Bishop and Aidan; and his grandparents Martha and Joseph Porter, Lois Oliver, and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Louis Oliver, Sr.
Desmond brought smiles and laughter wherever he went. And in true Desmond fashion, he will continue to bring joy to others as an organ donor. He was loved immeasurably. Please join us after the service at 93 Robert Stevens Dr. Schertz, Texas 78154 to continue the celebration of the life of Desmond Oliver.

A Memorial Visitation for Desmond will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 5:00-9:00 PM, with an invitation for all to share their reflections between 6:30-7:30PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. A Mass honoring Desmond will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:30 AM.
