Dennis passed away with family by his side on May 28, 2025. He had just celebrated his 89th birthday.

Dennis was very proud of his military service of 24 years receiving many awards, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal to name a few. He also spent 20 years in Civil Service working at Randolph AFB. He received many awards for his outstanding contributions and work ethic.

Dennis was from Illinois and loved his Chicago Cubs and SA Spurs. His other interests included building model railroads, puzzles, and jazz music. He loved road trips with his beloved wife, Theresa. They were married in 1979 and had a wonderful, loving life together. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in athletics and school events.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and James, his loving wife Theresa, and his brothers Jim and Ray. He is survived by his children: Barb & Dave, Teri, Mike & Kristen, Ken & Carol, Russ and Kellie. He also had grandchildren: Russ & Cat, Jake & Sarah, Steven & Kari, Robert & Heather, Tyler, Kyle, Cole & Abby. Great grandchildren: Mia, Mason, Parker, Dawson, Landon, Lucas, Graham and Crew. Special nieces, Janie (Ron), Samantha, Ruthie, and Martha as well as extended family in Illinois.

A Memorial service will be held at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel July 22, 2025 at 11:00 am and internment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Dennis was a loving husband, father and a genuinely good man and friend. We will miss you very much and pray you are with Mom watching over us all.
