Demetrio M. Soliz, of Cibolo Texas, was born on September 22, 1934 in Alice, TX and passed away on August 11, 2008 in Live Oak, TX at the age of 73. He is preceded in death by his wife, Benita V. Soliz; son, Demetrio Soliz Jr.; parents, Seferino & Amalia (Mendiola) Soliz and brothers, Santos, Juan & Eloy Soliz. Demetrio is survived by his children, Herminia Soliz of Alice, TX, Juan V. Soliz & wife, Minnie of San Antonio, TX, Anna Rangel & husband, Jessie of Austin, TX, Alma Casias & husband, David of Schertz, TX, Melva Martinez & husband, Joe of Cibolo, TX, Juan P. Soliz & wife, Patricia of Cibolo, TX, Esperanza Ramos & husband, John of Austin, TX, Eloy Soliz & wife, Carol of New Braunfels, TX, Gilberto Soliz & wife, Norma of Cibolo, TX, Roberto Soliz & wife, Margarita of Schertz, TX, Alberto Soliz & wife, Gloria of Marion, TX, Ida Soliz & husband, Eric of Pflugarville, TX , Nora Moya & husband, Americo of Marion, TX and Elida Stella Herrera & husband, Arturo of Edcouch, TX; sisters, Alicia (Lupe) Rosas of Agua Dulce, TX, Idolina Alonzo of Troop, TX and Elida Estella Santana of Alice, TX; 60 Grandchildren; numerous Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as additional family & friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 PM following the visitation. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, TX, with Monsignor Roger Robbins as the officiant. Interment will follow at The Selma Catholic Cemetery #2 in Selma, TX.
