Del Hannasch

Del Hannasch, age 8 7 , passed away on July 1, 2017. He was born to Henry & Mae Hannasch on July 1, 1930 in Carroll, Iowa. Del was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings: Virginia Carruth, Alvin Hannasch, Mary Lou Hockstadt , and Jimmy Hannasch. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Hannasch; children: Rick Hannasch & wife Sheri, Dottie Hannasch, and David Hannasch & wife Linda; siblings: Norma Redford, Henry Hannasch, Jr. & wife Rosie , and Jeanette Tiedeman; grandchildren: Austin Hannasch, Dillon Hannasch & wife Lindsey, Nicole Moss & husband Steve, Ryan Hannasch, and Andrea Hannasch; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM (with a Rosary being recited at 10:00AM ) on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels. Graveside Services will follow at 1:30PM at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio.

Del served in the Air Force during the Korean War, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was an avid golfer, loved his Dallas Cowboys, and most of all cherished his children & grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School at 386 North Castell, New Braunfels, 78130 or the Charity of your choice.
