David Edward Proffitt

David Edward Proffitt, 85, passed away May 7, 2026. Born May 5, 1941, in Great Falls, Montana, David held a lifelong love for his Montana roots and often shared stories of his upbringing with family and friends.

He married Lynn Feldman on March 20, 1969, and together they built a life centered on family, devotion, and shared values.

David worked many years as a sales executive in the photo industry, where he formed lasting relationships and was known for his professionalism and kindness. As the industry changed, he worked alongside Lynn in the family’s art and framing business.

A man of integrity and quiet strength, David deeply valued his family and took pride in life’s simple moments.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; sons, Steven (Lynnly) and Matthew (Allison); grandchildren, Tyler, Meredith, Rebecca (Waltz), Abigail, Nathan, Adelynn, Miles, and Luke; and sister, Kathy (Fuda). He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Mildred Proffitt, and twin sister Polly.

A memorial service will be held May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 2738 MacArthur View, San Antonio, TX 78217.
