David R. Gomez, age 85 of Schertz, passed away on February 8, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilario & Aurelia Gomez; brothers, Jesse, Juan, Henry, Elias, Tony and Beto and sister, Juanita Arispe. David is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Josephine Gomez; children, Anna Martinez & husband, Albert, Rick Gomez & wife, Caryn, Lucy Gomez, Jenny Hernandez, Ida Bustamante & husband, Bart, and Jaime Gomez; grandchildren, Bernadette, Allison, Jason, Nicholas, Kathy, Joe , Albert Jr and great-grandchild, Moriah. David retired from Randolph AFB after serving 38 years. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Selma Cemetery #2.
