David Wesley Ebbers

David Wesley Ebbers, 68, of La Vernia, TX passed away on April 18, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

David was born on January 17, 1956 to Robert and Betty Ebbers on Hamilton AFB, California. After he graduated, in 1974, from MacArthur High School in San Antonio he went on to study at San Antonio College.

After studying for a couple of years, David decided to go into the workforce. He had many successful years in the healthcare industry.

In 1979, David met Diane Jenkins at his job at Frost Bank in San Antonio, TX. David and Diane went on to have three children, Heather, Wesley, and Krystin. David and Diane loved being actively involved at church, with their kid’s activities, and going on family vacations. David was always full of “Dad Jokes” and made everyone feel like family! His love of Jesus, family, and dedication to God helped him in his many battles with cancer. He stayed faithful and loving until he drew his last breath and is now completely healed.

David was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Betty Ebbers. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Ebbers; daughter, Heather Larre (husband Anibal Larre and granddaughter Gabriella) of Round Rock, TX; son, Wesley Ebbers (wife Kelly Ebbers and grandkids Hannah, Aiden, Tanner, and Easton) of Waller, TX; daughter, Krystin Ebbers (fiancé Kyle Moore and granddaughter Genevieve) of La Vernia, TX; brother, Steve Ebbers (Liz Ebbers); sisters, Susan Harrelson, Debbie Ebbers (Jessey Henriquez), and Sarah Ebbers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles.

Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church Universal City on Saturday, May 4th at 11am, with family receiving guests at 10am.
