David James Downey

David J Downey of Cibolo, TX and previously Corpus Christi, TX, quietly passed away at his home on April 29th, 2025 at the age of 65. David was unmarried but had a tremendous impact on his brothers and their families plus friends and co-workers. He was very kind, thoughtful and absolutely loved telling the ‘proverbial’ Dad jokes and never had a shortage of puns. Dave worked in the investment community virtually all of his professional career and was even personally avid in it as well. David was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, watching every game start-to-finish no matter the outcome for the past several decades. Dave was also an avid computer and technology fan - always keeping up on the latest home technology and managing the “IT” at his work. But mostly, Dave was a very dear family member who looked out for all us, especially our parents, helping to make personal decisions, health choices and so much more.

Dave is survived by his two brothers, Don & Doug, and their families. We are planning an online Celebration of Life event for Saturday, May 31, 2025.
