Darlene Lillian Wilson, 85, a loving wife, mom, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother was called to be with the Lord on Monday June 12th, 2023 in Mcqueeny, TX surrounded by her family.

Darlene entered this world on February 17th, 1938 in Chicago, IL to John Joseph Halfpenny and Evelyn Martha Biggs Halfpenny. She had a sister Jean Barbara Halfpenny Laskovich and Brother John William Halfpenny.

Darlene loved the outdoors. She had a beautiful garden. Lots of flowers and vegetables. She loved feeding the birds. She would sit out on the porch and watch them everyday. She was active in her faith, loved volunteering for the food pantry at the church and talking to everyone.

Darlene is survived by her husband Billy Wilson, kids Frank John Johnson and wife Nancy, Linda Sue Fait and husband Frank, Cindy Lee Whitmarsh and husband William , Robin Ann Tolleson, Robert Ray Johnson, Barbara Jean Mueller and husband Wilbert, Wayne Michael Ray, Kathleen Elaine Beshears and husband David, Darren Goedhart and wife Roselyn, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and her pets Maddie, Kendal and "the bird bird".

Darlene is preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas Halfpenny and Maria Silver Halfpenny - the 1st immigrant of the family to come over from England, parents John Joseph Halfpenny and Evelyn Martha Halfpenny, Brother John William Halfpenny, Sister Jean Barbara Halfpenny Laskovich and son Ralph James Ray, Jr.
