Daniel Wood

Daniel C Wood passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 after a battle of illness at the age of 62.
He was born on September 20, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska.  His parents were Lewis C Wood Jr and Rosalia T Wood.  Danny grew up in Louisiana; San Marcos, TX; Universal City, TX; and Schertz, TX.  He had a long career with Aircraft Cabinet Making and was able to travel and explore the world for over 25 years.
Two of Danny’s favorite past times were playing music with Tite Fit & Jokester and flying his Cessna plane.  In addition to playing music or flying, Danny enjoyed family time and road trips.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Lewis C Wood Jr and Rosalia T Wood.
Danny was survived by his wife of over 30 years, Beth Wood, Daughter and Grandson Paige D Wood and Parker D Puleo.  Danny was the middle child of 5 children (2 brothers - Larry C Wood & Cathy Wood (Wife) / Kevin C Wood & Lesa Wood (Wife) and 2 Sisters - Linda Pineda / Mary T Garza & Alfred Garza (Husband).
His Father In Law - Roy M Rogers & Carol Kugelman.  His Mother In Law - Gaylene & Bill Stokes.  His Sister in law & Brother in law - Janice & Alan Scherbarth. His Brother in law - Kevin Stokes.  His Nieces - Christy Pineda / Ashley Garza.  His Nephews - Alex T Wood / Matthew Garza / Marc A Scherbarth / Quentin A Kugelman / John Pineda.
Danny will be greatly missed by his family and friends.   If you ever want to remember Danny’s laughter - just remember Jerry Lewis “Nice Lady” and Danny would be right there laughing with you while doing the comedy.
We will be celebrating his life on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 4:00pm at the Schertz Funeral Home.
