Dale Kearnes

March 15, 1914 — January 1, 2008

Dale Kingston Kearnes, age 93 of Schertz, passed away on January 1, 2008. He was born to Joseph & Rose (Kingston) Kearnes on March 15, 1914 in Pittsburg, Kansas. Dale served in the U.S. Army, 35th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Bulge and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lillian Kearnes; daughter, Nancy Haggard & husband, Len; grandchildren, Jay Normile & wife, Elise, Wendy Sauceda & husband, Tom, , Denise Nolte & husband, Gary and Roger Haggard & wife, Holly; Ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside Services & Interment will be held at 11:45 AM on Monday, January 7, 2008 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Autumn Winds Retirement Lodge, Dales Special Angels.
