Constance Winifred Madden, born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 23, 1934, peacefully passed away surrounded by family in San Antonio, Texas on March, 24, 2024.
Constance led a remarkable life full of diverse interests and accomplishments. She exhibited great determination and perseverance by pursuing her education later in life and obtaining her G.E.D in her 40s. She had a very giving spirit and volunteered for the hospital and was a Eucharistic minister for shut-ins.
Throughout her lifetime, Constance found joy in various hobbies and interests such as sewing, reading, dancing, crocheting, and even learning the computer at the age of 74. Her boundless curiosity and creativity were truly admirable.
Constance will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Constance is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Bernice Schroeder; siblings, Henry Schroeder, Joseph McDermott, Nancy DuFresne; son James Garrett Madden; grandson Michael Otto and beloved husband of 63 years James D. Madden.
She is survived by her children Ken (Letie) Madden, Clare (Ted) Wiggins, Maureen (Daryl) Grebas, Catherine (Voyd) Butler. Additionally, she leaves behind grandchildren Kenneth J. Madden Jr. (Jamie), Veronica Mechler (Nathan), Bridget Chandler (Bryant), Ashley Dooley (Matthew), Diana Yakhlef, Anthony Foster, Christine Otto, Andrew Foster, Alexis Butler along with numerous step-grandchildren. Also among those cherishing her memory are her great-grandchildren Darcy Allshouse, Kenzie Mechler, Kennedy Madden, Ava Dooley, Grayson Foster, Alexa Dooley, Olivia Madden,Genevieve Foster, Emma Mechler, Caden Huson.
May Constance W. Madden rest in peace as her spirit lives on in the hearts of her beloved family and friends.
