Cletus Frederick Koch, age 83, entered into eternal life on Aug 29, 2023. He was born July 1, 1940, to Firmin and Cynthia Feldkamp Koch in Baileyville, KS.
Cletus joined the Air Force in 1961, which eventually brought him to Randolph Air Force Base in Texas. It was here he met and fell in love with Barbara Ann Ray, who he married in 1966. They spent over 50 years together. He worked in construction most of his life, was a longtime member of the Carpenters Union, and retired from Browning Construction in 2008. For a time, he raised longhorns, and then chickens. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and helping family members with projects. Just 10 months ago, building a barn with his grandson.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann; parents, Firmin and Cynthia; granddaughters, Melissa Gayle and Ashlee Michelle; brothers, Galen and Marvin.
He is survived by his son, Kenny (Cindy); daughters, Connie and Christine; brother, Danny;sisters, Dorothy, Betty Ann (Rick), Elaine, Arlene (Jim);grandchildren, Cassidy, Travis, Brianna, Ethan, Bradie, Chris, Trent, Kyle; great grandchildren, Ranger, Ryder, Easton, Aicen, Parker, Rowin, Noah, Adalee, and Revlin.
We would like to thank Dad's caregivers-Kathy, Vanessa, and Kim for their loving care the last few weeks, and Mellissa for her Hospice Assistance
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Dads name to Hope Hospice New Braunfels.
Visitation will be September 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Schertz Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be September 7, 2023 at 10 am at Schertz Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
