Christian Lemoj "Koko"
Zedhkeia
Feb 9, 2026 — Sep 3, 2026
Converse, Texas
Christian Lemoj “Koko” Zedhkeia was born to Jason and Sandrea Zedhekeia on Febuary 9, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. Christian passed away on September 3, 2026. He was his parents’ precious miracle baby, a gift from God whose brief but beautiful life became forever woven into some of the most meaningful moments of his family’s story. He entered this world on the very day his father concluded his dedicated career in the U.S. Army, marking the beginning of a new chapter and blessing his family with a love beyond words. Christian departed this world peacefully on his mother’s birthday; a bittersweet day that will forever carry his memory, and his love.
Though his time was far too short, Christian left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of everyone who loved him. He was given the name Christian as a reflection of his family’s deep love for Jesus Christ and their steadfast faith. His life was a testament to God’s grace and a reminder that even the smallest lives can leave the greatest footprints on our hearts.
Christian received the blessing of baptism and, in God’s perfect timing, graduated from this earthly life to his eternal home in Heaven as God’s beloved child. On the night of his passing, his mother lovingly gave him his final bath, a tender moment that beautifully reflected the everlasting bond and unconditional love they shared. Christian and his mother also shared their journey with family, friends, and loved ones through social media. Through their posts, countless people were invited into Christian’s NICU journey; praying for him, celebrating his milestones, encouraging his parents, and cheering him on every step of the way. Though many knew Christian from afar, they came to love him as if he were their own. His journey touched lives far beyond the walls of the NICU. Christian’s story was truley a testimony of love, faith, hope, and perseverance.
Christian was blessed with the opportunity to meet and share precious moments with his older siblings; Tristan and Dora. Their bond, though brief, is a gift that will remain with them forever. His family finds comfort in the promise that this is not goodbye, but only a temporary separation. One day, by God’s grace, Christian and his family will be reunited again; whole, complete, and together forever.
Christian treasured every moment of love and connection shared with his grandparents, parents, and siblings. He found comfort in his mother’s loving baths, gentle hands, and compassionate care, along with the touch time from his nurses and the encouragement he received during his Occupational and Physical Therapy sessions. Every touch, every embrace, every smile, and every moment of care became a cherished part of his beautiful story.
Christian’s big, beautiful moonlight eyes, delicate long eyelashes, thick eyebrows, chunky rolls, and precious smile are unforgettable. His eyes seemed to hold a quiet light while his smile had a way of warming the hearts of everyone around him. These little features, so uniquely his, became treasured reminders of the beautiful soul he carried within. The image of Christian’s sweet face and radiant smile will remain forever etched in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing and loving him.
Christian is survived by his parents; Jason Zedkeia and Sandrea Zedhkeia, his older brother; Tristan Zedhkeia, and older sister; Dora Zedhkeia. He is also survived by his Grandparents; Hemina Nysta, Fredrick Nysta, Moye Lakabung, and Great-Grandmother Rufina Jack.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you for every prayer, every word of comfort, every act of kindness, and every expression of love you have shown our family. Your support carried us through moments when we did not have the strength to carry ourselves. We will forever remember the love you poured into Christian and our family during his journey. We pray that God return to each of you the same love, kindness, and blessings you so generously gave to us, multiplied beyond measure. May He continue to bless you, keep you, and surround you with the same comfort and grace you so lovingly extended to our family. For every prayer whispered, every tear shed, and every heart that stood beside ours, thank you will never be enough.
Special thank you to the BAMC and University Hospital NICU staff who genuinely cared for and loved him.
John 11: 25-26 “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
