Charlie Louis Kucherka Jr., age 83, of Schertz passed away July 4, 2009 after a battle with cancer. Charlie was a veteran in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Charlie was preceded in death by wife, Lillian Kucherka & sister, Edith Gloger. Charlie is survived by daughter; Theresa Ackermann & Steven Cady of New Braunfels, son; Dennis Kucherka & wife, Joyce of Seguin, brother; Clarence Kucherka & wife Billie of Pearland, grandchildren; Chris Ackermann & wife, Elissa, of New Braunfels, Jimmy Ackermann & wife, Leah of New Braunfels, Rachell Charboneau & husband, Troy of New Braunfels, Diana Weber & husband, Kelly of Seguin, Charles Kucherka & wife, Brooke of Seguin, Jennifer Kucherka & fianc, Chad Swanson of Seguin, & James Kucherka of Seguin, great-grandchildren; Shelby Ackermann, Dakota Ackermann, Reagen Ackermann, Weston Ackermann, Emilie Weber, Luke Weber, Trace Weber, Kayla Kucherka, & Shaye Kucherka. Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with Rosary being recited at 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow immediately at Holy Cross Cemetery.
