Charles “Charlie” Paul Gens Sr.

Charles “Charlie” Paul Gens Sr., beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, was born on August 21, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away suddenly on August 26, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.

Charlie will be remembered as an empathetic, caring, loving, and kind-hearted man who touched the lives of those around him with his warmth and compassion. He was a devoted family man whose love for his family will continue to live on through the memories and moments they shared together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Marie Gens (O’Leary) and Paul Gens; his wife, Anna Marie Gens (Venegas); and his sister, Patricia Enriquez.

Charlie is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his daughter, Erica Gens; his son, Charles Paul Gens Jr.; and his stepson, Jose Serrano. He is also survived by his sister, Paulette Kulpa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Though his passing was unexpected, the love Charlie gave and the memories he created will remain with his family and loved ones forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
