Chance Allen Goralewicz, 20, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2024, in San Antonio.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Chance was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and loyal friend to all whose lives he touched. Always quick with a smile, Chance endeared himself to people with his easygoing, affable nature. He was slow to anger and had a keen sense of humor.
Chance lit up a room with his smile, and his laughter was contagious. The eldest of three children, Chance loved his family more than anything, and was his sister Chelsea and brother Stevie’s protector.
Chelsea admired Chance’s strength, courage and determination, and how he was always there to support the people he loved. Chelsea and Stevie loved their older brother dearly, and always were proud to talk about him with anyone who asked.
Chance enjoyed family vacations and cruises, especially trips to Puerto Rico. Always in top physical condition, Chance also enjoyed zip lining, parasailing, snorkeling, lifting weights and working out.
A 2022 graduate of Steele High School in Cibolo, Chance started school at Fox Run Elementary and later attended Schlather Intermediate. He competed in football, wrestling and track at Steele, and was a Boy Scout in elementary school. Chance played T-ball, soccer and football as a youngster.
Chance demonstrated a head for business at a young age and had an entrepreneur’s spirit. He dedicated his heart, time and energy to opening his clothing store, The Clothing Plug, with his two best friends. He died doing what he loved, managing his store.
Chance was baptized at St. Pius X Catholic Church, and received his First Communion and Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
His family always told Chance that they loved him beyond the moon and stars. We always will remember him as a bright light who loved life and his family. Chance’s memory will be with his family until we see his smiling face again.
As we grieve, we take comfort in knowing that he is now basking in the light of Jesus Christ and flying with the angels. We will be sustained in the difficult days ahead by our unwavering faith in the Resurrection.
