Catherine Susie Byrne

October 1, 1928 — March 26, 2024

Catherine S. Byrne passed away March 26 2024, at New Haven Memory Care after an extended illness.

She was born October 1, 1928 in Concord Florida, lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois as a military spouse and loving mother. She worked at the bank there till retired, she was a devout member of the First Baptist Church,and was involved with several social organizations. She moved to Cibolo, Tx. in 2014 to be closer to family, leaving behind her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years Alvin J Byrne, and her daughter Margaret Walker,of Belleville, IL. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Kenneth, Clarence, John Branklin, and John H. Jr. and sisters: Marguerite and Mildred.

She is survived by her sons John Byrne, and Thomas Byrne both of Texas, and a daughter Debra Mckissen also in Texas. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

She will be cremated and then buried with her husband at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio TX. with simple family graveside service.
