Carol Ann Simcox

Carol Ann Simcox, 83 years, who resided in San Antonio, Texas 78258, went to be with the Lord October 21, 2023 at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, after a long struggle battling heart disease and congestive heart failure.

Carol was born July 15, 1940 to Adam William Janosko and Caroline Bernice Steele in Struthers, Ohio, and lived most of her life in Northern Ohio. She married her soulmate and best friend, Arthur George Simcox, Sr., and they were together for 60 years.

Carol was a generous and creative soul who devoted her life to her family. Carol enjoyed painting, ceramics, sewing, crocheting, and designing costumes and scenery for dance recitals. Carol and Art enjoyed activities such as dancing, bowling, golfing, and race car driving. They were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Milton, Ohio, and Carol enjoyed singing in the choir.

Carol is survived by six children: Terri Lee Raub, Arthur George Simcox, Jr. (Diane), Gigi Simcox Rodriguez (Martin), Jeffrey Jay Simcox, Jodi Jean Simcox Nail (Norman), Shawna Maree Simcox; eight grandchildren: David William Simcox, Michael Arthur Simcox (Taylor), Steven Robert Simcox, Chelsea Nicole Maloney, Tia Maree Ray (Nic), Adam William Raub, Ella Mae Simcox, Emily Kay Simcox; six great-grandchildren: Hunter Stuart Ray, Heidi Maree Ray, Otto Murdock Wibbenmeyer, Ava Jade Wibbenmeyer, Sophie Louise Simcox, and Scarlett Rose Simcox, several cousins in Ohio and Arizona, and many others who considered her a “second mom.”

John 11:25-26 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die."
