Carol Roberts

Carol Jean Roberts, age 86, passed away in the afternoon of October 2, 2022 whilst physically and spiritually surrounded by her loving family as she transcended into Heaven. To Carol “Oma,” our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, family was everything, and her faith in God was absolute. Carol was born July 9, 1936 in Oklahoma City. Feisty from a young age and a rebel at heart, Carol has enjoyed life as a motorcycle enthusiast, a roller-skating queen, a square-dancing mama, an elite bowler, and a finisher of competitive race walking, amongst many other adventures and professional accomplishments. She was a proud American who valued education so highly, instilling responsibility and determination in all of her college educated children. Being a loving and devoted mother is one great deed that will continue to receive all our gratitude.

Carol Jean Roberts, the original independent woman, fully unafraid, was always ready to speak her mind. In her recent days she would be seen avidly reading murder mystery novels or completing crossword puzzles while helping her grandchildren with their math homework after school. More recently, she has been giving out Dum-Dum lollipops and pats on the butt to her great grandchildren. All the while attending community Independence Day parades, being a noteworthy member of The Country Church, looking after her beloved pup’s and maintaining an impeccably balanced vegetarian diet. To respect her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service held. Her ashes will be spread by the family on a future date in a place she loved. Those wishing to honor her life may make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project and/or The Humane Society in her name.

Carol is survived by her children, Cindy (Dave) Waechter, Don Roberts Jr., Dana (John) Elliot. She is loved by her grandchildren, Jeff Waechter, Missy (Simon) Williams, Danielle (Kyle) Cameron, Zachary Elliot, Katrina Roberts, Amy Elliot, Nicholas Roberts, Tyler Roberts. She is remembered by her great grandchildren Jaxon, Nevaeh, Cash, Penelope. She is survived by her brother Mike (Elizabeth) Greer and their sons Jason, Jeromy and more.
