Carol Jane Kellum (Mather, Stacconi) 86 of Schertz, TX (formerly Vestal and Endicott, NY) passed peacefully from this world, on February 13, 2026, to reunite with her husband and family in heaven.

Carol is the daughter of Walter T and A. Irene Mather (Mills). She graduated from Vestal Schools in 1957. She married Robert C. Stacconi in 1958 and had four children.

Many years after her divorce from Robert, she reconnected with Gordon Kellum whom she had dated 43 years earlier. She found Gordon to be her forever partner and best friend. She and Gordon were married in December of 1999 and were able to celebrate 25 years of marriage in 2024, before Gordon passed in July of 2025.

During their marriage they enjoyed many trips traveling around the country visiting friends and family. Carol then made the decision to move to Texas to be closer to her daughter, Lisa. Carol was extremely happy there, spending so much precious time with Lisa and her family.

Carol is survived by her children and stepchildren: Rob Stacconi (Kathy), Rick Stacconi (Bonnie), Bonni Phelps (Randy), Lisa Deshaies (Brian) Suzanne Machin (Doug), Steve Kellum (Patti), John Kellum (Paula), Chris Kellum, Michael Kellum (Cortney), Anna Kellum. Her sisters Janice and Brenda, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas Mather, brothers-in-law Ralph Henry, and Anthony Middendorf.
