Carol Abel

Carol Ann Abel, 65, was born on August 15, 1955 in Pasadena, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2020 with her husband by her side. Carol graduated high school in La Porte, TX and graduated with her bachelors from the University of Houston. She was an Executive Assistant for Capitol Aggregates for 37 years. Carol really enjoyed volunteering for a number of humanitarian causes. She is preceded in death by her father, Welch Burton; mother, Pasty McLeish; stepfather, John McLeish; grandparents, W.S. and Cloe Thomas. Carol is survived by her loving husband of nine years, Paul LaCombe of Windcrest, TX; daughter, Nicole Ann LaCombe of Windcrest, TX; sons, Eric LaCombe of San Antonio, TX, Jonathan LaCombe of Hot Springs,  Arkansas, Robert LaCombe of San Antonio, TX; step-son, Dave Debiaw of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Joe D. Burton and wife Tere and their daughter Theresa of Seabrook, TX; uncle and aunt, W.T. and Betsy Thomas of Mansfield, TX; cousins, Julee Thomas Johnson and husband Colin of Hermosa Beach, CA, John David Thomas, wife Armine and their son Cameron of Fairfax, VA, Sara Woolf and husband Brian, Chatsworth, CA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:00AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio, TX 78266.
