Carmen Guglielmo, Sr.

August 25, 1933 — October 20, 2022

Carmen James Guglielmo, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Born in White Plains, NY on August 25, 1933 to Thomas and Margaret Guglielmo.

After serving in the US Army during the Korean War, he spent most of his working career in the facilities management profession receiving several promotions and making many lifelong friends.

He married Enis Altamura on September 12, 1955 and were blessed with 4 children; Ann, Thomas, Carmen Jr, and Joseph.

Carmen was a humble man with a remarkable wit and sense of humor which was endearing, hilarious and entertaining. An avid golfer, he enjoyed the competition of tournaments and took joy in teaching the novice player.

He also loved to cook, which reflected pride in his Italian heritage. He relished having a crowded table for meals. Guests were treated like family so much so that you may be included in some good-natured teasing. Lots of laughs and good food was the norm.

His true passion and priority was his family. The love between Carmen and Enis was magical, providing warmth and security for their children and continues as the model for their grandchildren.

Survived by Enis, wife of 68 years, Ann Larivey (Dan), Thomas (Laurie), Carmen Jr, Joseph (Toni Margaret). Grandchildren Nicole Whatcott (Richard), Danielle Sanchez (Richard), Briana Larivey, L’Chelle West (Jason), Kimberly Paladino (Dan), Francesca and Angelina Guglielmo.
