Brian King passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025 in Schertz, TX just a couple weeks shy of his 66th birthday. In the weeks leading up to his passing, he was accompanied by his adored cat Tippi while enjoying nature on the patio.
He was born in Washington D.C. on December 17, 1959 as the second son of Beasley and Claudette King. Brian graduated from Cy Fair High School and made the decision to join the United States Air Force, embarking on a journey that would shape the rest of his life. While at the Air Force recruiting station, Brian met Phyllis Lee, who would later go on to become their life partner and best friend. After months of training and time spent apart, they were reunited at tech school, where they began their journey together. Brian dedicated twenty years to honorable military service and following retirement, continued to give back by working in civil service.
Brian and Phyllis were married for 42 years, and blessed with two children, Rashaun and Aquilah, four grandchildren Leshawna Lee, Leona Guadalupe Lee, Rashaun Lee Jr., Raevon Lee, and great-granddaughter who is set to arrive near his birthday.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Phyllis, their two children, Rashaun and Aquilah, granddaughters Leshawna and Leona, grandsons Rashaun Jr. and Raevon, older brother Beasley King, younger brother George King, and numerous beloved family members and dear friends, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Beasley and Claudette, and younger brother, Randall Harvey King.
He will be fondly remembered for his generous spirit, sense of humor, and love of trains.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with the funeral service to be held right after at Schertz Funeral Home. We invite his cherished friends and family members who are out of town to stream the service online.
