Billie Little

Billie Jo Little, passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 82, peacefully surrounded by her family.  Billie Jo Little was born January 8, 1938 to Willie Eunice (Miller) Drawbaugh and Oliver Franklin Drawbaugh Jr. on the Blue Ribbon Farm in Atoka County, Oklahoma.  She grew up in and around Atoka and Colgate and she attended school in Olney. Billie met and married William Edward Little, also known as Bill, in August of 1952 while visiting family in Sherman, Texas.  They shared 58 years of their lives together until William passed away in August of 2010.  They had three children: Edward Duane Little, Billie Delores Rosson, also known as Dorie (David) and Vickie Lynn Little.  They had 4 grandchildren: Jennifer Dawn Blanchard, Kimberly Jean Budell (Joe), Crystal Lynn Barr (Trevor) and Timothy William Rosson (Nicole).  10 great-grandchildren & 3 step great-grandchildren: Matthew Payton, Faith Blanchard, Douglas Thomas, Tanner Budell, Trenton Budell, Hunter Rosson, Ava Budell, Tylor Barr, Caylynn Barr, Caleb Barr, Brianna Zapata, Trinity Rosson and Seth Rosson.  She also leaves behind loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Billie was proceeded in death by her parents Willie Eunice & Oliver Drawbaugh, her husband William Little, her son Duane Little and her sister Mae Hinkley.  Billie and Bill moved to Cibolo in 1964 as Bill was serving with the US Air Force.  Billie started working shortly after the move for Schertz Cibolo UC ISD and touched many lives in Cibolo and Schertz.  She worked there for 26 years before retiring with 16 of those years working at Dobie Intermediate and Jr High school while loving every minute of it.  She was a good standing member of the Country Church in Marion.  She loved God’s word and read her bible daily.  Her later years priority after retirement was volunteering and working at the churches Attic ministry as she poured all her love into it weekly.  She loved to serve at the churches VBS summer after summer and the highlight of her week was also attending ladies bible study.  She was also a life member of the V.F.W. Aux in Schertz and a member of Randolph Area Retired Educators.  Billie loved life and lived it well.  A Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, December 10th at 10:30am at The Country Church in Marion, Texas with a private graveside ceremony at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.  Anyone is welcome after 4:30 pm to visit the gravesite.  In lieu of flowers please consider giving to the Attic ministry at the Country Church in Marion, Texas.
