Benno Haecker Jr., age 68 of San Antonio, passed away on February 23, 2011. Benno is preceded in death by his parents, Benno & Leonie Haecker; brother, Elroy Haecker & wife, Virginia and brothers-in-law, Don Parsons, Willis Cohu and Floyd Nolan. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Haecker; son, Todd Haecker & wife, Jessica; granddaughter, Madelyn Haecker; ex-wife, Kay Reynolds & friend, Bill Ledbetter; sisters, Carolyn Cohu, Elaine Meckel & husband, Charles, Lucille Nolan, Mary Ann Dylla & husband, Clem, Ruby Golla & husband, Melvin; brother, Lee Jay Haecker & wife, Debi and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Benno retired from the Highway Department after 37 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Bexar & Germania Bowling Clubs. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Schertz Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Redeemer United Church of Christ in Zuehl Community, 7415 Gin Rd, Marion, TX, 78124. Interment will follow at Redeemer United Church of Christ Cemetery.
