Arturo “Q” Quinones, also lovingly known as “Jojo,” passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 50, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service.
Q proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 1/2 years, retiring with distinction as a Senior Master Sergeant. His leadership extended beyond the uniform and made a lasting impact on all who served beside him; he was a mentor, a friend, and a brother to many in the military.
He was the devoted husband of 23 years to his wife, Blanca, and the proud father of two beautiful children, Ty and Sophia, who were the light of his life. Above all, Arturo was a family man—deeply involved, endlessly supportive, and full of love.
The youngest in his family, Jojo was the ideal son, brother, uncle and DJ (Daddy Jojo). No matter where he was in the world, he always put family first. Whether stationed overseas or across the country, he never hesitated to come home when his loved ones needed him most. He showed up during the hardest times, especially when family members were facing illness or hardship. His quiet sacrifices and steady presence will never be forgotten.
To know Jojo was to love him. He was not only the best husband and father, but also the best son-in-law and brother-in-law, with a truly special bond with his in-laws that was full of deep respect, warmth, and joy. His presence brought comfort and light to every family gathering, and his memory will be cherished forever.
Q was a best friend to many. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people — and those connections lasted a lifetime. From his childhood friends in the Philippines to the countless brothers and sisters he served with during his 23+ years in the United States Air Force, he built friendships that spanned the globe.
Throughout multiple deployments and duty stations, he left behind not just memories, but deep, lasting relationships. He was the kind of man people never forgot. His military family stretched across continents, and the bonds he formed were as strong as any family tie.
Whether you knew him from childhood, on or off station, here at Randolph AFB or from a faraway base, if Q called you a friend, you were a friend for life. Q had a magnetic personality that made him the life of every party. He was known for his sharp wit, big heart, and generous spirit—a man who could make anyone laugh and instantly feel at home.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Q’s spirit, laughter, and love will live on in all of us.
