Antonio Lee McFarland, 64, of Cibolo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2026. Affectionately known as "Tony," he was born on December 29, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan.

He faithfully served his country for over 22 years on active duty in the United States Air Force, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his distinguished military career, he continued his legacy of service within the Georgia school system, where he dedicated his time to teaching JROTC and mentoring high school students. Throughout his decades of service, Antonio, Master Sergeant McFarland completed extensive advanced training and earned numerous commendations, ribbons, and medals.

Antonio was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend who was deeply loved by many. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Antonio Lee McFarland Jr. and Julian Ellis McFarland, both of Georgia; his sister, Deborah Moore of Detroit, Michigan; and his brother, Ray McFarland, who resides in Africa. He is also survived by a host of beloved nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Antonio was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hicks; his oldest sister, Diane McFarland; and his brother-in-law, Sonny Moore.

Antonio’s departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of his sons, family, and countless friends. While he will be deeply missed, his vibrant spirit, enduring kindness, and the beautiful memories he created will be forever cherished and kept alive by all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held for Antonio on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Schertz Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
