Annie Marie Gomez peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2025. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 18, 1947 to Paula and Jose Rangel. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 52 years, Joseph L. Gomez, and her siblings: Joe Rangel, Jr., Sylvia Covarrubia, Richard Rangel, Rose Cortez, Carlos Rangel, Alicia Rangel, Paul Rangel, Diane Tellez, and Maria C. Prather. Also a niece and several nephews.
She attended grade school at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School, then entered the convent of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart for religious and high school formation. She left the Novitiate and went to Secretary School where she became proficient in Typing and Shorthand and worked as a secretary for several years.
Annie was a gifted artist in various media: from painting, pottery, jewelry, and greeting cards. She believed that art is the continuation of God's creation. As a devout Catholic, she loved to share her Faith and her artistic creations with family and friends.
Annie had a special place in her heart for all animals. She also had lifelong friendships she cherished. Anyone who knew her will remember the joy and laughter she brought into their lives.
May Our Lord and Blessed Mother console her beloved husband, family, relatives, and friends.
