Anita Quiza Iott

Anita “Annie” Quiza Iott of Selma, Texas, went home to Heaven on July 5, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Annie was born on May 11, 1961, to Celerino Quiza and Rosalina Mullet in the Southern Philippines. Third oldest of eleven children, Annie was known for caring for her family both near and far. In March 1988 Annie married Allen Iott in Olongapo City and immigrated to the United States and went on to raise their two daughters, Dannalyn and Rosalina.

Annie was known for her hard work, kindness, and generosity. Throughout her adult life, Annie and her family moved from California, Connecticut and finally to Texas. Throughout the years, Annie was known for making lifelong friendships no matter where she lived. She volunteered at her church, Calvary Chapel of San Antonio and American Legion Auxiliary Alamo Unit 2. Annie was an excellent homemaker, who used her crafting heart to make clothing, blankets, and pillows for those in need. She had an amazing green thumb and was admired for her beautiful garden and home plants.

Annie was predeceased by her parents Rosalina and Celerino and her younger brother Reneboy. She is forever remembered by her loving husband, Allen Iott; her daughters Dannalyn and Rosalina and their spouses Timothy and Tori; her grandchildren Lana and Owen; and her adoring siblings, nieces/nephews, and cousins.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Schertz Funeral Home from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Schertz Funeral Home at 11:30 am the following morning, Thursday, July 24, 2025, followed by her burial at Fort Sam National Cemetery at 1:15 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Anita's name to the American Kidney Foundation.
