Obituary

Angela Rhea Marston, age 70, entered the Heavenly Kingdom on April 8, 2026, and welcomed home as a faithful servant of God.

Born in 1955 on Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, Angie was the beloved daughter of Edwin P. and Jane Davidson of Olden, Texas.

She graduated from Eastland High School in 1974 and later attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), earning her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1979.

Following graduation, Angie married Arthur “Sonny” A. Marston II. Together they built a home rooted in faith, devotion, and deep family bonds. They were blessed with two sons, Joshua and Justin, who became the center of Angie’s world.

Angie dedicated over two decades of her life to educating Texas students, touching countless lives through her compassion and unwavering love for teaching. When she retired in 2016, she left behind a legacy of commitment, kindness, and the quiet strength that shaped generations.

Outside the classroom, Angie found joy in cooking, traveling her homeland and abroad, and spending cherished time with her extended family and friends. Yet her greatest joy—her truest calling—was raising her boys and loving her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Angie lived with a generous heart, always giving to others, always offering warmth, encouragement, and grace. She never met a stranger, and there was always room at her table—a place where everyone felt welcomed, seen, and loved.

For seven years, she fought a valiant battle with cancer, facing each day with courage, determination, and faith, with her husband, Sonny, by her side every difficult step of the way.

Though deeply missed, Angie’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Jane Davidson, and Brother-in-Law, David Humiston.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Sonny Marston; her sons, Josh Marston and his wife, Krista, and Justin Marston and his wife, Mary Katherine; and her beloved grandchildren, Emma, Luke, Lucy, Barrett, and Jake. She is also survived by her siblings, Brenda Humiston; Elwyn Davidson and his wife, Kelly; and Valerie Davidson; her uncle, Eddie Munn; along with her nephews, grandniece, and grandnephews.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Schertz Funeral Home and Crematory in Schertz, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory with a gift to the Ronald McDonald House-San Antonio, Thrivewell-San Antonio, or the Texas Oncology Foundation.
