Andrew Alexander Stephenson-De La Cruz May 15, 2008 " May 20, 2008 He was so loved, this baby boy, Gods gift to us, so sweet His tiny little hands and tiny little feet. The days with us were far too few. We asked the question, Why? O Why? Tis only God that knew. And now this babe does rest within the arms of God. In peace at last is he. And if you listen carefully, youll hear angels softly sing- to this tiny babe of ours, Whose soul has taken wing. On Tuesday, May 20, 2008, baby Andrew gently passed away at Wilford Hospital, Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the Randolph AFB Chapel with AF Chaplin Daniel Giorgi officiating. Andrew is preceded in death by great-great grandparents Gordon Andrew and Marcile Smith; Leck and Macelle Tilley; John Barco Stephenson; and great-grandfather Antonio Rodriguez. He is survived by his parents, Tamara Dawn Stephenson and Jaime De La Cruz, Jr.; grandparents, Timothy W. and Dana Stephenson, and uncle, Timothy Andrew Stephenson, all of Cibolo; Jaime and Maria De La Cruz, Sr., and aunt, Sury De La Cruz, all of Brownsville; great grandparents, Gordon Ann Smith-Tilley of Waco, Texas; David R. Tilley of Russellville, Arkansas; Earlene J. Stephenson of Birmingham, Alabama; Pedro and Rosa De La Cruz and Lourdes Rodriquez of Brownsville; and a host of other relatives. The family would like express their deep gratitude to the compassionate doctors and nurses of the NICU of Wilford Hospital for their diligent care.
