Alison G. Adams, Age 64, of Schertz, Texas passed away and went to heaven on August 26, 2026.
Alison was born in Victoria, Texas on February 27, 1962 to the late AG and Patricia Garrett of Yoakum, Texas. She graduated from Yoakum High School in 1980. Alison obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University. Alison married her life partner, Tim Adams, in March of 1993. Together they built a life of entrepreneurship and selfless service. Most recently Alison created a business out of her passion for educating women on proper firearm usage and safety as a certified NRA firearms instructor.
Alison was an ardent supporter of youth programs, especially 4-H activities in DeWitt County, in honor of her father, a long-time public school agriculture educator. Alison and Tim provided selfless service assisting victims in disaster areas. Their disaster relief efforts knew no bounds. Their chain saws and their cook trailer were a staple across the Texas Gulf Coast in times of hurricanes and other natural disasters.
Alison and Tim enjoyed taking time away from their businesses to cruise the Caribbean, often bringing nieces and nephews along.
Alison is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tim Adams, and 5 siblings: Randal Garrett (Andrea) of College Station, Texas; Kirby Garrett (Joni) of Victoria, Texas; Phillip Garrett (Donna) of College Station, Texas; Jack Garrett (Karen) of Cuero, Texas; and Jennifer Garrett Crow (JC) of Robinson, Texas; along with 24 nieces and nephews, five great-nieces, and one great-nephew. Alison is preceded in death by her parents AG and Patricia Garrett and her brother, Russell Garrett.
A visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, September 10, at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas with luncheon at the church immediately after. Burial will take place at the County Line Cemetery in Yoakum, Texas at 3 pm.
Memorials can be sent to Samaritan’s Purse. Personal correspondence may be addressed to Jennifer G. Crow, 192 Hoffmeyer Ln, Robinson, TX 76706.
